As the year is unusually long, it will have 13 months, with an extra month between the seventh and eighth months of the lunar calendar.
There will also be two “lichun”—the auspicious day marking the beginning of spring—on February 2006 and 2007.
ということで、そのため、昨年１月には駆け込み的な結婚ラッシュが起きたという。

以前、2003年秋に上海に遊んだことがあったが、その時もある意味で結婚ラッシュだった。それは暦法上の理由からではなく、その年の春から夏にかけて、SARS（非典）騒動のために結婚を延期していた人たちが、秋になって結婚し出したため。
