90歳の英国の役者、マイケル・ケインが英国での公開が始まった新作のThe Great Escaperを最後に俳優業から引退することを宣言した。新作にして最終作でもあるThe Great Escaperは、Dデイ70周年記念式典に出席するために老人ホームを脱走した元海軍兵士を描いたもの。でも、タイトルだけ見ると、かつてスティーヴ・マックイーンやチャールズ・ブロンソンが出た『大脱走（The Great Escape）』*2を想起してしまう。
ところで、マイケル・ケインは『カーズ２』*3でフィン・マックミサイルの声を演っていたんだね。
