９月６日、スーパートランプのオリジナル・メンバーでヴォーカリスト／鍵盤奏者のリック・デイヴィス*3が他界。享年81歳。
スーパートランプ*4は、大ヒットしたBreakfast in Americaくらいしか親しんでいないのだが、スーパートランプというバンドの存在が〈プログレ〉の裾野の広さを感じさせられる。
因みに、supertrampという英語から先ず想起するのはチャールズ・チャップリンのキャラなのだが、バンド名とチャップリンは関係ないようだ*5
