“Experts call for measures to save Hainan’s Li dialect*1”

海南島の少数民族である黎族（100万人）のうち、自らの言語を話す人は半数に満たないという。
記事では、” The Li dialect is unique to Hainan and is considered the most peculiar in the Zhuang-Dong branch of Sino-Tibetan languages.”とあるが、黎族の言語が漢蔵語族の中の壮〓*2系の言語だということは初めて知った。記事の中で、”The latest studies show Li has a close relationship with Malay in Malaysia, Tagalog in the Philippines and Gaoshan dialect on Taiwan Island.”と言われているように、マレー系の言語であると思っていた。沖浦和光氏などは、ここから、印度南部（タミル）に端を発して日本を北端とする亜細亜海民文化という構図を描くのだろうけど、それはそれとして。
また、”Li people – together with the Zhuang, Bouyei, Dong and Dai ethnic groups – can trace its origin back to the ancient Yue people from Guangdong Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.”、つまり古代越族の末裔ということだが、これについても識者に教えを請いたい。
