廣西壮族自治区出身の徐という姓の男とその仲間が目の前で電気ショックによって屠殺した虎を買い、その肉を食べ、その骨*1で酒を作ったとして、懲役13年の判決を受けた。この判決は既に４月に出されていたが、徐たちは控訴しており、年も押し詰まって、控訴が棄却された。上掲の中国語の記事によれば、廣西の欽州の裁判所でのこと。虎を殺して食べた場所は、ロイターの記事ではたんに「広東省」内だが、中国のソースによれば広東省雷州*2。なお、どちらのソースでも、殺された虎の由来は言及されていない。中国国外から密輸されたと推定するのみ。
