WeepiesのBe My Thrill*1の封を切って聴いてみる。このアルバムの全14曲のうち６曲でキング･クリムゾンのトニー・レヴィンがベースを弾いているんだね。どの曲もキャッチーで聴いていて心地よい。それから、やけくそ的にオプティミスティックな歌詞も気に入った。例えば、”They’re In Love, Where Am I?”;
この曲ではそれほど言葉の響きに拘ってはいないのだけれど*2、この人たちは作詞においてはリトル・リチャードの子孫*3という側面も持っているようだ。例えば表題作の” Be My Thrill”；
