スパイク・リーの新作、昨年のニューオリンズ洪水のドキュメント、When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Actsのタイトルは、ZEPの曲名を意識してつけられたものだろう*1。ところが、通称Four Symbols

の末尾を飾るこの”When the Levees Broke”というZEPの曲は、実は”a reworking of a Memphis Minnie/Kansas Joe McCoy blues tune inspired by the 1927 flood of the Mississippi River”*2である。巡り巡ってというべきか。
