仏蘭西東部のサールブール*1の蚤の市で、アルブレヒト・デューラー*2の銅版画「天使によって戴冠されるマリア」（1520）が発見された。このプリントは独逸のシュトゥットガルトにある州立美術館（Staatsgalerie Stuttgart）*3に所蔵されていたが、第二次大戦後行方がわからなくなっていた。超安値で売られていたのを、見た、引退した考古学者は裏側にStaatsgalerieのスタンプが押されていることに注目し、プリントを購入し、 Staatsgalerieに寄贈したという。
