ところで、武漢を拠点とする写真家の李郁＋劉波の『受害者（The Victim）』というシリーズ*2は凄い。武漢の地元の新聞に載った様々な地元の事件をネタに、それらの事件を再現したもの。曰く、

关于受害者
2007年，我们限定了新闻的选择范围，并把作品标题定为《受害者》。受害者这个词反复地出现在许多新闻故事中，无论是死者、凶手、抢劫犯、妓女、自杀者、扰乱社会秩序者，还是医生、患者、丈夫、妻子、老人、企业主、农民工、大众消费者，都在新闻里扮演着这个特定的角色。他们被损害被侮辱，要么以暴制暴完成受害者与施害者的转换，要么被避重就轻地贴上弱势群体的标签。不公正的社会体制，导致受害者心态弥漫在整个社会。

About "The Victims"
In 2007, we restricted the selection of news and entitled our works "The Victims" since it is a word that comes forth in many news reports. A great variety of people are playing such a given role in news stories like dead people, murders, robbers, prostitutes, suicides, trouble-makers, doctors, patients, husbands, wives, old people, entrepreneurs, migrate workers and popular customers. Being injured and insulted, most victims only get an inexplicit label of "disadvantaged group" while some others will turn to counterviolence and shift to the opposite position. The inequitable social system is making the mental attitude of victim prevailing in the whole community.
