女優のタウニー・キティン*1が５月７日にカリフォルニア州ニューポート・ビーチで急死。享年59歳。検死官は死因を明らかにしていない。
1980年代にホワイトスネイクの”Here I Go Again”などのPVに出演していた。同世代では、名前は知らなくても、あのひと！ と思い出す人も多いのではないだろうか。その後、ホワイトスネイクの大将、デヴィッド・カヴァーデイル*2と結婚、そして離婚。野球選手のチャック・フィンレー*3と再婚し、また離婚。彼女がショービズに入るきっかけはメタル・バンド、ラット*4のロビン・クロスビー*5と付き合っていたことだった。ラットのファースト・アルバム、Out of the Cellarのジャケットのモデルになった。そのロビン・クロスビーは2002年に42歳で他界している*6。
