海外在住のソマリア人*1のためのフェイスブック・ページTrue Somali Freedom Page (TSFP)*2について。タイトルに” atheist activists”とあり、ページの運営に関わっている人には「無神論者」が多いが、無神論者だけでなく、ソマリアの主流文化においては周縁化されている基督教徒、LGBTの人々の拠り所ともなっている。また、ワッハーブ主義（Wahhabism）集団に迫害されたスーダン在住のソマリア人の話が出てくるが、原理主義勢力に迫害されるムスリムも参加している。TSFPはたんなる意見表明の場ではなく、亡命費用の募金などの活動の場でもある；
ところで、ソマリアというと、どうしても1990年代のカオスを連想してしまうのだが、それだと、判断を誤ってしまうようだ。以下は2018年のレポート；
Somalis have not only been using the group as a platform to debate, but, in some cases, as a means of survival.Some of the most at-risk groups in Somalia who have put messages on the TSFP are Christians, atheists and LGBT individuals.
These are people who grapple with the constant fear of being exposed and are subjected to attacks and imprisonment.
One way that the TSFP helps is through raising money and the cash has bought plane tickets and helped with living expenses.
