現地時間２月22日、ジョージア州の「ダルトン高校」で、この高校の53歳の社会科教師であるJesse Randall Davidsonは教室に立て籠もり、持っていた拳銃を外に向かって発射した挙句、警察に投降し・逮捕された。この事件で、怪我人などは出ていない。動機については明らかではないが、校長によると、デヴィッドソンは「優秀な教師（excellent teacher）」であったという。
