７月18日夜、独逸バイエルン州トライヒトリンゲン（Treuchtlingen)*1発ヴュルツブルク（Würzburg）*2行きのローカル列車で、17歳のアフガニスタン人少年が斧とナイフで乗客に襲い掛かり、４人が負傷した（１人は重傷）。この４人は香港人の一家（父、母、娘、娘の恋人）だった*3。少年は犯行に際して、アラビア語で「神は偉大なり！」と叫んでいた。列車から降りで逃走を試みるも、追跡した警官隊に射殺された。また、この少年の自室から手作りのISIS旗が発見されたという。

According to a study published in April by Germany’s Friedrich Ebert Foundation*4, about 154,000 Afghan citizens migrated to Germany in 2015, of whom 32,000 applied for asylum. More than 120,000 Afghan citizens remained in Germany without authorisation or had moved on to other countries, according to the study.

The study found that most Afghan migrants were young and male. The majority of family members who were interviewed for the survey said they had fled their country because of the economic situation. Political developments in Europe or the open-border policy of the chancellor, Angela Merkel, at the height of the refugee crisis had played only a minor role in encouraging Afghans to leave their country, the study found.

Germany, while initially generally welcoming refugees, has since begun to take a much tougher line, declaring it would deport Afghan asylum seekers whose applications are rejected.

Earlier in the year, Afghans were the second largest group entering the European Union, with 178,230 Afghans seeking asylum in the EU’s 28 states in 2015.

福島県二本松市；

図書館でナイフ、４人けが　傷害容疑で男を逮捕　福島

　福島県二本松市の図書館で職員ら４人にナイフでけがを負わせたとして、県警二本松署は１８日、福島市松川町、自称アルバイト平野良容疑者（３４）を傷害の疑いで現行犯逮捕し、発表した。「職員の説明に不満を持った」と供述し、容疑を認めているという。

　署によると、平野容疑者は１８日午後４時ごろ、市立二本松図書館の男性職員（５１）と女性職員（５５）、同館を利用していた男性２人に対し、携帯していた小型ナイフで切りつけ、手や足に軽傷を負わせた疑いがある。利用者２人は、ナイフを取り出した平野容疑者を止めようとしたとみられる。

　１１０番通報で約１０分後に駆けつけた署員が平野容疑者を取り押さえた。（伊沢健司）

群馬県前橋市；

知人の首刺した疑い、スナック経営者逮捕　前橋

　刃物で知人の男性を刺して殺そうとしたとして、群馬県警は１２日、前橋市広瀬町１丁目、パブスナック店経営の飯島隆正容疑者（５８）を殺人未遂の疑いで現行犯逮捕し、発表した。「殺そうと思って刺した」と容疑を認めているという。男性は死亡し、容疑を殺人に切り替えて調べる。

　前橋東署によると、飯島容疑者は１２日午前０時１５分ごろ、自身が経営する店で、知人の住所不詳、自営業須藤保さん（５７）の首を、ナイフのような刃物で刺して殺そうとした疑いがある。

　店内で２人とも飲酒していたといい、事件当時、店内にいた女性客が１１９番通報したという。
