中国四川省甘孜蔵族自治州康定県*1にて、北京時間11月22日16時55分にマグニチュード6.3の地震が発生し、23日15時30分時点で、５名が死亡し、54名が負傷している。
日本の長野県のマグニチュード6.7の地震*2と同じ日に起こったとはいえ、チベットから雲南や四川にかけての中国大陸西南部の地震は印度洋プレートの働きによるもので、太平洋プレートの影響が強い日本の地震と直接関連づけることはできないだろう。
