ところで、タクシーの運転手は全くの赤の他人と密室状態で時には数時間に亙って過ごさなければならない。これは或る意味で（セックス･ワーカー以上に）リスキーなことと言えるのでは？　また、これは他の車運転の仕事、例えば特定の人のお抱え運転手、バス運転手、トラック運転手或いは電車の運転手とタクシー運転手が区別されるところでしょう。前園真聖にしても、それから『ヤングジャンプ』編集長にしても*2、それから松平にしても木村父子にしても、タクシー運転手としての基本的なスキルの問題で暴力を振るったのではないということに気づく。目黒区の三田に行けと言ったにも拘わらず慶応大学に連れて行かれたら、誰だって怒るだろう（Cf. 丸谷才一「目黒三田論」in 『月とメロン』*3）。そういう失敗に起因する暴力事件だったら世間はどう反応するのだろうか。

タクシー･ドライヴァーの歌ということで、いちばんかっこいいのはStan Ridgway*4の”Drive She Said”! とにかくタイトルからして（翻訳不可能なほど）かっこいい；
