日本財団系のFondation Franco-Japonaise, dite Sasakawaが仏蘭西の日本学者Karoline Postel-Vinayを「名誉毀損（diffamation）」の廉で告訴していた件では既に「笹川」敗訴の判決が昨年９月に下されているが、控訴期限の12月23日の時点で「笹川」側は控訴しておらず、「笹川」側の敗訴は取り敢えず確定。
以下、「支援委員会」からのメイルを転載する；
Chers et chères signatairesPermettez-nous de vous remercier une dernière fois de votre soutien lors du procès initié par la fondation Sasakawa contre notre collègue Karoline Postel-Vinay.
Selon la loi française, la fondation Sasakawa pouvait faire appel dans un délai de trois mois, avant le 23 décembre dernier. La fondation a choisi de ne pas faire appel du verdict qui la condamne. Notre victoire est donc totale.

Please allow us to thank you once more for your support during the trial initiated by the Sasakawa Foundation against our colleague Karoline Postel-Vinay.
Under French law, the Sasakawa Foundation could have appealed within three months, before 23 December 2010. The foundation has chosen not to appeal the verdict that condemns it. Our victory is therefore complete.

私たちの同僚であるカロリーヌ・ポステル＝ヴィネーさんを相手取って笹川財団が起こした訴訟の際には、皆さんからご支援いただき誠にありがとうございました。改めて感謝の意をここに表したいと思います。
フランスの法律に従って、笹川財団は2010年12月22日まで控訴する権利を有していました。しかし、財団は、自身の敗北を明言している判決に不服を申し立てることを選びませんでした。よって、私たちの完全な勝利となりました。
