女優のオリヴィア・デ・ハヴィランド*1が老衰のため巴里の自宅で息を引き取った。享年104歳。その代表作である『風と共に去りぬ』への批判的眼差しが再度強まっている中、臨終を迎えたということはたんなる偶然にすぎないだろう。それはともかくとして、これで、1930年代の聖林を知る人はいなくなってしまったということだろうか。
