『百度百科』やWikipediaによれば、逮捕されたのが1955年で、釈放されたのが1982年なので、獄中にあったのは27年ということになる（さらに細かく言えば、監獄に19年、労働改造［すなわち強制収容所］が９年）。
Born in Shanghai and educated by Jesuits, he was ordained as a priest in 1945 and studied in Euope before deciding to return to his homeland in 1951. It was a somewhat difficult period for religious figures and Jin was promptly arrested for colluding with the dangerous `imperialist powers` of the day, that is, the Roman Cathoric Church. He spent the next 30 years in prison.
