陳箴は1965年上海生まれ、1986年以降仏蘭西巴里に移住、2000年巴里にて死去。享年55歳*3。
中国では初お目見えだという大作「絶唱」も凄いけれども、私はそれよりも蝋燭で組み立てられた幾つもの家、「超越脆弱」に注目した。確固として実在するもの、通常そのように実在することを私たちが素朴に信じているものの儚さ、脆弱性に彼は拘っていたようだ。確固として実在するが儚く脆弱であるもの、私たちの身体はその代表だろう。身体、特に内蔵への拘り――「禅園（Zen Garden）」、「水晶体内風景」etc.
