４月29日にアラバマ州の刑務所を手を取り合って脱走した、「特別な関係」にあるとされた*1囚人のケイシー・ホワイト（38歳）とヴィッキー・ホワイト刑務官（56歳）が現地時間５月９日、インディアナ州エヴァンズヴィルで、カー・チェイスの末に拘束された。ヴィッキーは銃で自殺を図り、病院に搬送された後に死亡が確認された。
