”Ice hotel”は氷でできたホテルでの情事の話。
実際にIce Hotelというのは瑞典に存在するのだが*2、この歌詞の面白いところは、「氷ホテル」の冷たいイメージが正面に提示されるとともに、カリブ海とかバルバドスとか巴里とかヴェネツィアといった如何にも情事向きの有名観光地が否定的に言及されるところか。

”I wish I could go travelling again”はまた旅行に行けたらいいのに！ という話だが、歌い出しの
で喚起されるイメージがいい。

In a language neither of us understand
While we argue about the customs of the land

”Breakfast on the morning tram”で「あなた」が朝食を食べるのは和蘭アムステルダムの市街電車。登場するのはyouとtheyだけで、Iはいない。
“So romantic”はいつも脳内旅行に出かけて自分を置いてけぼりにする女と関わった男の話だと読んだけど如何？ 或いはromanticということについての考察。
“Never let me go”というイシグロ的なタイトルの曲もあるが、これはスタンダード曲。
