Peter French

A Tough Old Time in China: The Life and Times of an American in Shanghaiの話が中心。
French氏はその次の本も既に構想しているという――”a true story about a murder in Beijing that took place in 1938.”

An American girl called Pamela Werner was murdered whilst riding her bicycle on the eve of Chinese New Year. She disappeared and her body was found with her heart cut out.

The murder has never been solved. I’m going to find out who killed her!

北朝鮮について――”one of the only places in the world where people have never heard of the Beatles or Michael Jackson.”
